Mum was simply the most beautiful person I have ever met. She was kind, caring and loving, a truly selfless person who found joy in simple things and always, always saw the very best in others. She died on July 4th 2005, aged 63 after successfully and courageously beating breast cancer. It was so sad after having come through all her treatment to lose her while she was so young and with so much to look forward to. Mum was born on the Lewsey Farm estate in Luton - one of six brothers and sisters, she idolised her brother James, known as Jim and was extremely close to all her sisters, Mary, Angie, Betty and June. Her parents Robert and Agnes McArthur raised the six siblings with love. Mum always cherished her Scottish roots and loved to visit Scotland as often as possible.
